PlayMoreGolf is the latest business to join Wales Golf’s Preferred Partner network, giving golfers flexible membership options away from traditional club subscriptions.
PlayMoreGolf is a clever, points-based membership which provides the perfect solution for golfers who are hesitant about committing to a traditional, annual membership at a club. Golfers simply join online, choose their preferred home club and receive 100 points for an annual subscription. 80 points must be used at the golfer’s home club, but the remaining 20 can be used at any of PlayMoreGolf’s 120+ venues across the UK.
Currently, 10 golf clubs in Wales are part of the PlayMoreGolf network, including Cardiff Golf Club in South Wales and Maesdu Golf Club in North Wales.
The typical profile of a PlayMoreGolf member is someone aged 44, who plays eight to 10 rounds per year – and 65% of the members play at off-peak times. On average, 10% of members upgrade to a club’s full membership within the first year.
