In a club first, husband and wife duo Ian and Tisha Mortlock both picked up the winning trophy at The Suffolk Golf Club Mens & Ladies' Club Championships.
After a hot and sunny weekend of golf, husband and wife Ian and Tisha Mortlock both lifted the winning trophies at their club championships at the Bury St Edmunds club.
With a handicap of 13, Tisha Mortlock won both the nett and gross trophies in the ladies' championship, signing for a nett score of 147 and gross score of 173. Not only did Tisha win in both categories by 8 shots, but she also won the Stableford trophy as well- a totally clean sweep.
Meanwhile Tisha's husband, Ian Mortlock, with a handicap of 8, won the men’s championship with a gross score of 162, 1 shot ahead of his closest contender.
It comes as little surprise to learn that the championships have never been won by a married couple before, which got us wondering- is this a first husband and wife double?
