This year's celebration is set for the week of the Women's Open at Royal Troon.

Women and Girls' Golf Week is back this year from August 17 to 23, and England Golf want all of us to be involved.

Whether you work or volunteer in golf, have just taken it up, compete regularly, are a club member or play for mental health reasons, it's time to tell your story about why you golf.

The week is all about highlighting the brilliant women and girls who are involved in the world of golf and also the many fantastic benefits that golf brings.

Taking place across the England Golf website and social media, each day has a different theme and the national body is asking us to send in our stories, photos and videos for them to share.

To do this, all you need to do is visit the England Golf website and fill in a form where you will be asked to share your #WhyIGolf story - click HERE to go straight to this page.

You can also send your photos and videos directly to them by emailing [email protected].

Whether you do it for the friends, the exercise or the personal growth it provides, they want to hear about it (and we can't wait to read them all either!)

The deadline for submissions is Sunday August 9 and they will be shared on social media throughout the special week that also see's the newly rebranded Women's Open take place at Royal Troon.

Otherwise you can get involved during the week itself by following the hashtag #WhyIGolf or tagging your own photos, videos and messages accordingly.

Many clubs around the country will also be hosting special events for Women and Girls' Golf Week, so please get in touch and let us know if your club is marking the occasion or making an extra push to get more women and girls involved. Simply email [email protected].
