Barlaston Golf Club, in Staffordshire, has raised £660 for Breast Cancer Now after holding a Pink Day in aid of the leading cancer charity last weekend.

Held to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness month, the ladies took to the course dressed in pink in a bid to raise more awareness for breast cancer, a disease which still claims 11,500 lives a year. Through a raffle, cake stand and the sale of pins and ball markers, as well as much appreciated donations, the club raised £660, a figure they hope to continue to build on in the upcoming months.

The event was one of many activities and fundraisers taking place across the country this month in support of the charity. If you’ve held a golf event or have one planned, then we’d love to hear from you. Contact us at [email protected].
