American Golf have announced a series of initiatives in support of the Sport England 'This Girl Can' campaign aiming to get more women aged between 14-40 active and encourage more ladies to get out on the golf course.

This Girl Can is a national campaign developed by Sport England and is supported by wide range of partnership organisations. American Golf is committed to growing the game of golf and believes that the principles of inclusive participation that This Girl Can has promoted across all sports is vital to help more women to pick up their clubs again or to try golf for the first time.

“We welcome American Golf’s support of the This Girl Can campaign. We want anyone who shares our ambitions to encourage more women to get active more often and help us celebrate active women everywhere,” comments a spokesperson for Sport England.

As part of their support for the campaign, American Golf will be introducing a series of initiatives aimed at making golf more accessible.

Daniel Gathercole, Head of Marketing at American Golf explains, “Picking up a club for the first time can be a daunting experience. We want to give girls and women the chance to come in store with their friends and get a taste for the game in a relaxed environment with our PGA Professionals.”
