Elaine Farquaharson-Black’s team trail opponents Continent of Europe by four points after they failed to win a single point in the morning foursome at Circolo Golf Bogogno near Milan, Italy.
The Continent of Europe now lead GB&I 10-6 going into the singles matches this afternoon.
Foursomes
GB&I's Alice Hewson and India Clyburn lost to Dewi Weber and Puk Lyng Thomsen by two holes in the first match.
Although makign a comeback and findign themselves all square at the turn, Gemma Clews and Sophie Lamb fell to Virginia Elena Carta and Albane Valenzuela 4&3.
Number 1 in the Word Amateur Golf Ranking Leona Maguire and her Ireland teammate Olivia Mehaffey were defetaed 3&2 by Matilda Castren and Morgane Metraux.
The eldest and youngest of the GB&I team were again paired together but Maria Dunne and Annabel Wilson lost to Linnea Strom and Julia Engstrom 6&4.

In the Junior Vagliano Trophy, GB&I's young team lost all three foursomes handing victory to the continent of Europe.
Adding three points to the total, the hosts extended their lead to 10-2, an eight-point advantage, making a comeback for Claire Coughlan-Ryan's GB&I impossible.
GB&I's lead-off pair of Sara Byrne and Carys Worby lost by 2&1 to Blanca Fernandez Garcia-Poggo and Caterina Don after having the better of the front nine exchanges to be one up at the turn. The Continent of Europe won the 10th and 11th to take the lead and went two up after the 14th, a lead they maintained to the finish.
Ffion Tynan and Caitlin Whitehead lost by 5&3 to the all-Italian pairing of former British Girls Champion Emilie Alba Paltrinieri and Alessia Nobilio after being one down at the turn.
Euphemie Rhodes and Lily May Humphries were defeated by 3&2 by Amanda Linner and Isabella Holpfer. The Continent of Europe were two up after only three holes and had extended that lead to five holes after the 7th. The GB&I pair played much better after on the back nine and cut their deficit to two holes after the 15th. However, defeat at the 16th hole concluded the match.
