Twenty-four teams from the Surrey area took part in the first Ladies Pro-Am to be hosted at Silvermere for 15 years last week, with the event proving a roaring success.

Twenty-four teams from the Surrey area took part in the first Ladies Pro-Am to be hosted at Silvermere for 15 years last week, with the event proving a roaring success.

The tournament featured fantastic amateur prizes in excessive of £2k, with prizes for teams and individual nearest the pin competitions. The winning team lead by James Ford consisted of Sandra Reichal (Silvermere), Fiona Salmon (Windlesham) and Tina Davis (West Byfleet) with a fantastic score of 91 stableford points.

PGA Professional Chris Gane representing Left Handed Golf at Silvermere took the honours of the Professional individual event with 8 birdies in the unique 'Par as their Friend' format.

Lauren Blease commented via Twitter ‘Fun day with my team for The PGA Ladies Pro Am @SilvermereGC amazing course and great food with lovely goody bags too!’.

The day was complimented with superb catering provided by the Inn on the Lake, with breakfast and lunch served overlooking the Silvermere Lake.
