“The Mothers & Daughters’ is a historic competition that Mum and I always look forward to as it’s such a unique and fun event fielding some of the best women golfers in the country,” said Charlotte, who plays off a 3 handicap.
“We were thrilled and surprised to have won it last year for the second time and we look forward to defending our title again in April on behalf of Walton Heath.”

Open to Mother and Daughter pairings from across the country, the annual event is played on the 5,446-yard, par-71 Pam Barton Course- named the after the legendary British and US Amateur champion and club member who claimed the same title with her mother all the way back in 1936.
There is no handicap limit to compete in the tournament. The event features handicap as well as scratch prizes.
“This year’s event attracted an entry of 92 players with a broad range of golfing abilities, but we’re expecting an even bigger turnout next Spring,” said event organiser Sheila Stirling.
“We’d like to see more new pairings enter the competition, which has served to promote the best virtues of ladies golf down the years.”
