For the second-consecutive year, Wellingborough's Meghan MacLaren claimed the Conference USA Individual Tournament title, shooting a three-under, 69, on the final day of this year's C-USA Women's Golf Championships from the Verandah Club's Old Orange course (par-72, 6,194-yard) in Fort Myers, Fla.

Entering the final round with an even par, the England international registered five birdies on Wednesday to finish with a three-under, 213, for her third conference title (2015 C-USA, 2013 Sun Belt). The reigning C-USA Golfer of the Year, MacLaren became just the second golfer in C-USA history to win back-to-back individual titles (Pam Buff – Tulane – 1998 and 1999). Her 54-hole total of 213 is the 10th-best in school history as MacLaren now owns six of the top 10 totals in program history.

Shooting three-under for the tournament, MacLaren improved her season stroke average to 72.83 (currently second-best in school history).

The win caps off an extremely successfully university career for the 21-year-old.
