“I am more than happy. It was my first serious competition for a long time, and my first title success for something like nine years!" said Lynn who was reinstated as an amateur with +2 of a handicap.
She had scores of 72 and 76 for 148 - 23 strokes ahead of the runner-up and two shots lower than the winning total (150) in the men's championship by the winner,Sultan Abdullah of Bahrain.
"I have to say I was secretly delighted to beat the men's score as well!" said Lynn who originally lived in Dunblane.
As Lynn Kenny she was Stirling and Clackmannan county champion four times between 1998 and 2004, and she won the Scottish women's amateur championship at Machrihanish in 2000. She played for Scotland in the women's home internationals every season from 2000 to 2004 inclusive before turning pro.
She was married at Castle Campbell, Dollar in July 2014 to Marcus Casey, a South African/Irishman, whom she met at the Dubai Ladies Masters in 2010. The couple live at Muscat, the capital city of Oman.
"I have been here since January 2013, working in the oil and gas sector as an executive assisant," said Lynn who will be 36 in June. "I got my amateur status back in February last year and have +2 of a handicap."
