Former Scottish Under-21 open amateur champion India Clyburn (Woodhall Spa), a second-year student from Cleethorpes at North Carolina State University, finished third in a field of 96 at the Landfall Tradition tournament on the United States women's college golf circuit.
Played over the Country Club of Landfall's Dye Course (par 72, 6,166yds) at Wilmington, North Carolina, the tournament was won by the top-ranked college player Jennifer Kupcho (Wake Forest) with rounds of 73, 66 and 66 for a nine-under-par total of 207. She finished three strokes ahead of runner-up August Kim (Purdue) (72-68-70).
Clybyrn tied for third place on five-under 211 with Cheyenne Knight (Alabama) (70-70-71).
India, younger sister of LPGA Tour player Holly Clyburn, had rounds of 72, 71 and 68. In her final round, she bogeyed the third but was five under par for the remainder of the holes, thanks to birdies at the fourth, sixth, 12th, 15th and 16th.
GB and I Curtis Cup player Alice Hewson, a student at Clemson University, finished T13 with rounds of 73, 72 and 71.
