The Scot topping a field of 53 players by a comfortable five-stroke margin at Windsor Parke Golf Club, Jacksonville, Florida after rounds of 75-72 for a three-over-par tally of 147.
Watson was playing as an individual after not being selected for the five-player Stetson line-up, although the university still won the team event.
England's Paige Kemp finished T6 on 156 with rounds of 80 and 76.
