Here's your chance to watch the leading women amateur golfers at the 41st Curtis Cup this August

Tickets are now on general sale for the 41st Curtis Cup match being played between the leading women amateur golfers of Great Britain and Ireland and the United States of America at Conwy from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 August 2021.

The biennial encounter, originally scheduled for 2020 and postponed due to Covid-19, will be played at Conwy for the first time, with the match last played in Wales in 1980. GB&I will be bidding to win back the historic trophy after a defeat to the United States at Quaker Ridge in 2018. The United States will be looking for a first win on this side of the Atlantic since 2008, when they won 13-7 at St Andrews.

Fans will be able to attend the match from the opening ceremony on Wednesday through to the conclusion of play on Saturday for a £40 adult season ticket. Children aged 18 years or under will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult ticket holder.

Tickets are on sale on a first come, first served basis and must be pre-purchased prior to August 20 by visiting www.randa.org.

Phil Anderton, Chief Development Officer at The R&A, said:

“Throughout the pandemic, the Curtis Cup has been a motivating factor for the talented amateur golfers who have had to wait for the opportunity to represent their countries in this prestigious match.

“During this time, they have been focused and committed to refining their game and sharpening their skills and I am sure all golf fans look forward to seeing them compete at Conwy in August.

“We are delighted that fans once again have the opportunity to walk the fairways and I know the players will appreciate a crowd cheering them on at Conwy.”
