Aoife Moore from Royal Belfast has shone in Seapoint to win the Irish Ladies Golf Union Junior Medal Final with 42 points - 4 clear shots ahead of the field.
Forty-seven juniors from across the country competed in the ILGU Junior Medal final this week at Seapoint Links Golf Club. They qualified for the final after having won their respective Club Junior Medals - for players with the lowest aggregate of 3 nett score, one in each month of June, July and August 2018.
Aoife shone on the back nine, shooting 23 points to add to her opening 19 and finishing the tournament with an impressive 42 points off a handicap of 28. Olivia McCrystal (Holywood) took home a silver medal for scoring 31 points off a handicap of 4. Jiaren Eina Pang (Portarlington) claimed the other silver medal in the next handicap category with a score of 38 points, whilst Julie McGrath (Milltown) shot 40 points off a handicap of 28 to take bronze.
