We've all been there. Stuck behind a tree and not sure whether to go for the green or just to chip out. Sometimes it's not feasible but, as Samantha Head explains, with the correct technique you can get under.

When striking the ball, feel like your hands and club are staying low to the ground and keep your head down too. The follow through should stay low as if you are punching the ball. There are no prizes for that perfect photo finish, as you’ll end up hitting the object you are intending to go under.

Like a high shot, ball position is important when playing low shots. Position the ball back in your stance to de-loft the iron, making the shot start lower and hopefully stay out of trouble.
