Rhythm

Driving is a sweeping motion, hence why the ball is positioned forward in your stance. Don’t get confused with iron shots that require you to hit down on the ball and to take a divot. It is always important to swing your driver with a good rhythm. When I’m swinging, I think ‘back’ on the backswing and ‘hit’ as I strike the ball. Have a go - you’ll notice how on some swings the ‘hit’ comes earlier, and this is when you are rushing the shot.

Follow Through

This is a natural progression of your swing. Commit to the shot and always think of a photo finish. If you have made a good swing, then your hands will be finishing at approximately shoulder height and your body will have reached its completion of the swing in balance. By keeping your hips square to the target as you follow through will ensure that you give the ball the best chance of travelling in the intended direction.
