The Melbourne Club at the heart of the Brocket Hall Estate, combines strength of heritage with beauty of innovation to offer world class golf facilities in an iconic setting.
Two pristine championship golf courses, The Melbourne and The Palmerston, a first-class Golf Academy with its own classic par 3 practice course and state of the art swing studio complete with video suite, gives players of all ages and abilities the opportunity to play, develop and enjoy being at the top of their game.
The par 72 Melbourne Course was opened in June 1992 and is the handiwork of design duo and former Ryder Cup golfers Peter Alliss and Clive Clark. Both Alliss and Clark have spent many years excelling in various areas of the golf industry, and their encyclopaedic knowledge of the game shines through as soon as you set foot on the course.
Women & Golf held a golf day here on Monday 8th July 2024
Beautiful clubhouse with wonderful views . Course has beautiful mature trees, a couple water hazards on a number of holes, take plenty of club to clear the water, wide fairways but rough is thick - take a provisional ball if you know you're in the rough. There is a halfway hut with toilet facilities, drinking fountain, seating area for food and refreshments , also a mobile refreshment vehicle that kindly stopped to ask if we required drinks. Beware of walkers as they don't look to check they are safe to cross fairways.
