St George's Hill Golf Club is one of the prettiest of the numberous heathland course in Surrey/Berkshire sand belt. Harry Colt design 27 Hole coure 3 loops of nine the Red , Blue and Green 9.
Played St George's Hill Ladies Open yesterday. The course was in fantastic condition and held up extremely well considering it rained incessantly. Rolling hills, tree-lined fairways, slick (enormous) greens and unforgiving heather which unfortunately wasn't in bloom.
A tough par 72 and favours the golfer who can hit it straight. That wasn't me today and I was on first name terms with numerous bunkers and heather.
We played the Red & Blue course and Blue seemed more difficult. Fantastic opening hole of Red and my other favourites:
On the Red - 4th, 8th, 9th
On the Blue - 14th, 16th, 17th
There's also a Green course.
Highly, highly recommend.
