Welcome to the beta version of the new Women & Golf website. Our web monkeys are still hard at work and welcome your feedback.
Golf has been played at Bude since 1891 and this classic seaside links course has provided an enjoyable golfing challenge throughout its 130-year history. The course is situated close to the town and offers players of all abilities a rare opportunity to experience an old-style links with many blind shots and fast undulating greens.
Played Bude for the 1st time, on a twilight green fee £35 each. We teed off at 4.30, lovely evening with no wind. The 1st 5 holes are on one side of the road, there is GUR affecting a few of these holes (may 24), and if your ball goes in, you can't retrieve it. The other holes are back across the road, and that's where the real fun starts, very tricky holes, loads of blind shots, a burn waiting to swallow up your ball.
There are markers to give you a clue as to where to go, but these number markers are not always the line.
The greens are amazing, very true and a good speed.
Take loads of spare old balls, you will lose some!
