A warm welcome awaits you at Braemar's glorious golf course - the highest 18-hole course in the UK.
Nestled in the foothills of the Cairngorm mountains, this hidden gem of a course wanders along the flood plain of the rugged River Clunie where a keen eye may spot a soaring eagle overhead or a herd of Red Deer on the adjacent mountain sides.
This relatively short but challenging course is beautifully maintained with an interesting mix of parkland and heathland - it is little wonder that many visitors wowed by its splendour and beauty describe it as a tranquil piece of golfing heaven.
If this had been played on a better weather day, I would have really liked it!
In drizzling rain interspersed with downpours it was very challenging.
The setting is scenic, even in misty rain.
The clubhouse staff were very friendly and effective.

What a stunning setting! Great welcome in the car park and clubhouse by the RDGW Braemar volunteers and a big thank you to the ball spotters, great job! Every time I play the quirky, tee to green hill holes, I enjoy them more. A great challenge!

My first time playing the course as part of the Royal Deeside Classic. Loved it.
No bunkers was an added bonus. Scenery was just stunning.

Lovely course in a stunning location. Mostly flat with the river clunie running through it. No bunkers on the course which is a plus, but still a challenge to play. Lots of wildlife and lovely scenery.

Braemar is not a long course but has lots of interesting and challenging holes. I have played this course over many years and always enjoy going back. Scenery is beautiful and Clunie Water running through the course adds an extra touch. Looking forward to playing this again in the summer.
