The understated jewel in Aberdeenshire's golfing crown, Aboyne is the oldest course on Royal Deeside designed by Archie Simpson and Martin Hawtree. Described as a course of two halves, it is an immaculately maintained, challenging course with 6000 yards of impeccable fairways and faultless greens - a golfer's haven.
The course makes the most of the natural variations in the terrain which is a mix of rolling parkland with inviting fairways and elevated links-like heathland with tighter targets. Aboyne is honoured to be chosen by Scottish Golf to host the Scottish Senior Women's Open in 2023
Have played this course twice in the RDGE. The challenging back nine and the beautiful scenery make this a must course to play if you are in Royal Deeside

I love Aboyne. The first few holes of the back nine present quite a different challenge as you head up into the hills. The rest of the course is lovely parkland. Always a friendly welcome and good Clubhouse facilities.

Great course, stunning scenery. I found the back 9 more challenging than the front 9. Saw deer running through the course, absolutely gorgeous area if Scotland.

I played Aboyne last October and loved every minute! No hole is the same and provides you with a good plus beautiful scenery (both on the course and the drive to get there!)
Would highly recommend!

I played Aboyne in the Royal Deeside Golf Week 2022. It was a superb course, some challenging holes. Great scenery and I'm looking forward to returning 2023.
