The understated jewel in Aberdeenshire's golfing crown, Aboyne is the oldest course on Royal Deeside designed by Archie Simpson and Martin Hawtree. Described as a course of two halves, it is an immaculately maintained, challenging course with 6000 yards of impeccable fairways and faultless greens - a golfer's haven.
The course makes the most of the natural variations in the terrain which is a mix of rolling parkland with inviting fairways and elevated links-like heathland with tighter targets. Aboyne is honoured to be chosen by Scottish Golf to host the Scottish Senior Women's Open in 2023
Absolutely loved this gentle , unassuming ,well cared for course with a listed stone wall winding through and stunning views of the River Dee…..full of character.Loved it the first time I played it, adored it the 2nd time. Would consider going back to play in different seasons.

Excellent course, challenging after the turn, but helped by the local ball spotters.
The course was beautifully presented, nice fairways and greens.
In the clubhouse the staff were friendly and the lunchtime soup was tip top.

I played on Monday in the Deeside Golf Week - such a lovely Course and really friendly staff as they couldn't do enough to help and make you feel welcome.
Will definitely play again in the near future.

Have played here previously at Royal Deeside 2022 and also the Scottish ladies seniors so was excited to return for Royal Deeside week 2023. This course is a good test of golf with well protected greens which were amazing as always and tree lined fairways and doglegs before the change in terrain which gives the feeling of being on a different course at times. Fab course to play and challenge yourself on, roll on 2024 for another stab at it 😀
