Women & Golf Member Kathie Mabberley reviews the ProQuip Poppy Windproof jacket

Review by Kathie Mabberley - who plays her golf at Littlestone in Kent

I was sent the ProQuip Poppy Windproof Jacket in black, size small, to test.  It comes in three colours - black, navy & silver, sizes XS-XXL and is priced at £95.

Initial Thoughts

As ProQuip say, Poppy is a stylish windproof jacket with thermal quilted panels and a soft, heat-sealed jersey outer fabric.

The Test

I have worn it on the course a couple of times and also when out walking. It is certainly windproof and very comfortable. Playing a links course it can be quite windy most of the time.

The padding and detail on the back and sides gives suitable stretch when playing. The sleeves are not restrictive in any way and the cuffs hold well around the wrists.

ProQuip Poppy Windproof Jacket - The Verdict

Very impressed with the comfort and feeling of snug fitting without being restrictive. Size is slightly bigger than I expected having the small size (I’m 8-10) so there is plenty of room to wear two layers underneath during the winter months. The zipped pockets also feel warm for your hands when not swinging a club or when out walking.

Certainly value for money in terms of quality and also machine washable. Versatility is very useful to get the full benefit of the garment.

Would I recommend it? Yes! I would highly recommend.
