Women & Golf Member Sue Harris reviews the ProQuip Winter Tech trousers
Review by Sue Harris - who plays her golf in Surrey
Hi, my name is Sue Harris and I play at Bramley Golf Club in Surrey. I have been sent a pair of navy Ladies Winter Tech Trousers (M) to test, just as the weather has definitely turned autumnal!
They come in 3 colours, black, navy and charcoal grey. There are 7 waist sizes and 3 leg lengths to choose from which I would think would cover most players.
Initial Thoughts
I am always wary of how trousers fit me as, like a lot of ladies, I have a small waist and there is nothing more irritating than a large gap that a belt just bunches up, however these have a small band of elastic at the back which allows for a really good fit, so off to a positive start and the 4 way stretch fabric meant I knew immediately that they were going to be very comfortable to wear.
The Test
The first time I wore them the weather typically started to rain lightly just as we teed off and stayed like that for the 18 holes. It was the kind of mizzle that seems like nothing, but you come off very wet, so I was glad that these trousers are water repellent and I was still dry at the end of the round. They are also thermal and as someone who feels the cold I can confirm that this definitely helped to keep me warm.
They have 2 pockets at the front which are big enough for a ball and a few tees and a pitch repairer and there is also a back pocket.
The Verdict
I wore them a couple of times and they retained their shape and stayed just as comfortable, they wash very well, usefully they also dry quickly if you need them in a hurry.
They are a flattering fit, someone asked if I had lost weight – they went even further up in my estimation! A few of my friends have admired and asked about my new trousers, so I have already passed on the details and I feel I may eventually be a trend setter!
They are priced at £60 which I feel is a very reasonable price for such a good quality pair of trousers, they will take you through from autumn to the end of the spring.
Would I recommend it? Yes! I would thoroughly recommend them and I think I’ll be buying another pair in the rather smart looking charcoal gray!
