Lauren Blease and Charlotte Ellis - a pair of British golfers tipped for the top of the women's game in the coming years - will wear Chervo clothing as they compete across Europe this season.

Sports apparel brand Chervò has announced that two of British women's golf's brightest young talents are now official Chervo ambassadors.

Lauren Blease and Charlotte Ellis - a pair of British golfers tipped for the top of the women's game in the coming years - will wear Chervo clothing as they compete across Europe this season.

Blease, 24, is competing this year in the LET Access Series, and has made a solid start to the season as she targets her card for the full European Tour in 2015. She has been playing golf for just seven years, after taking up the game aged 17 while too injured to play tennis, the sport she initially excelled at as a junior.

Blease, who lists her golfing hero as Suzann Petterson, said: "I'm thrilled to become an official Chervò ambassador. To me, Chervò is a cutting-edge company that produces great clothes - but clothes which are also very practical for playing."

The second golfer to become a part of the Chervò family is 28-year-old Charlotte Ellis. During a highly successful amateur career, Ellis won the 2006 English mid-amateur and the 2011 Scottish Strokeplay, and finished as runner-up at the English Open Strokeplay in 2009 and 2010. She, like compatriot Lauren Blease, is currently playing on the LET Access Series in 2014.

Ellis said: "Chervò isn't your 'run of the mill' clothing brand. It's the absolute pinnacle of golf fashion and it makes me feel very elegant and special whenever I wear it. The tailoring of Chervo and the fabrics used are such that they fit beautifully and move with you.

"It's fun to know that you are the envy of most players on Tour, because your apparel is that good. I'm really looking forward to representing Chervo. It's a real honour."

Chervò is a pioneer in introducing new technologies and functions into golf apparel. The company's vision is the fusion of chic and technical elements, making every Chervò product exclusive in form and content.

The result is a collection that guarantees superior technical performance and an unmistakably Italian elegance in all weather conditions - on the course, in the clubhouse and beyond.

Manfred Erlacher, Chervò CEO, said: "We are delighted to have two of the brightest up-and-coming female golfers in the UK on board. We're proud that such talented golfers will be wearing our clothing across Europe this year. They are both ambitious to achieve great things in the game - and with the support of Chervò, we hope to see them achieving their goals in the near future."
