And just like that, summer is over and we're now officially in autumn. Although we have the prospect of cooler, damper days ahead, it doesn't mean that we have to feel that way on the golf course. A trusty mid-layer is going to be our friend as we negotiate the fluctuation in temperatures and make sure that we feel comfortable and able to swing freely during our rounds.
What is a mid-layer?
Mid-layers have become more prevalent in recent years, taking on a design and function of their own which differs from a regular sweater (which is also technically a mid-layer). They tend to sit somewhere between a jumper and jacket, a hybrid of sorts, normally with a 1/4 to 1/2 zip down the front, are lightweight, featuring stretchable and breathable fabric technology.
