Bushnell Golf, best known for their laser rangefinders, has unveiled the next generation of distance-made-simple golf products, with the introduction of the EXCEL Golf GPS Watch.

As well as providing all of the key information the golfer needs, the EXCEL also utilises integrated Bluetooth technology to work seamlessly with the new Bushnell Golf App.

Designed to meet the ever-changing needs of the modern golfer, the EXCEL’s sleek design features a full front optical mounted colour display that adjusts to brightness automatically, making it the ideal GPS watch on and off the course.

The device’s Bluetooth capabilities make updating the 35,000+ pre-loaded courses extremely easy, ensuring the golfer always has the most up-to-date and accurate information for every course they are playing, across the world. The Bluetooth integration also means the user can receive call alerts, messages and calendar notifications straight to their EXCEL watch.

The Bushnell Golf App also allows the golfer to book tee times, pay, confirm and set tee time notifications all from their smart phone and will mean that, combined with the EXCEL’s Bluetooth capabilities, there is no need to sync the device with a computer for course updates. There is also the option for 3D course flyovers in the app, to give the golfer a birds-eye view of the hole.

“We are excited about new technologies within the EXCEL and introduction of the Bushnell Golf App,” said Derek Schuman, Marketing Manager at Bushnell Golf. “With the ever-changing needs in wearable technology, we created our most advanced, user-friendly GPS Watch, providing golfers the ability to enhance their game at an affordable price.”

Also integrated into the watch is a Swing Pro function, giving golfers the chance to monitor their swing speed and tempo, providing them with invaluable information to help improvement when practicing.

In addition to its Bluetooth capabilities, the EXCEL watch has leading battery life, lasting over three rounds before needing a charge, as well as a built-in pedometer, odometer and the ability to measure up to four hazard distances per hole. It also has the added benefit of being capable of instantly recognising courses.

The EXCEL Golf GPS Watch will be available from authorised Bushnell stockists in July with a recommended retail price of £199.
