W&G REVIEW: Although not the biggest putter brand, Rife has experienced significant Tour success and is popular with LPGA and LET pros. Here we take a look at the unique fully adjustable Switchback.
Although not the biggest putter brand, Rife has experienced significant Tour success in recent years and is popular with LPGA and LET professionals.
The Switchback is unique as it has adjustable weights off the bumpers of the toe and heel, allowing it to be adjustable from 350g to 380g. Whether it is putting style, speed of greens, or preference you will have the maximum adjustability with this putter.
W&G says: "The Switchback has a traditional blade style head that will appeal to a large market and the tacky grip feels great in the hands. The offset hosel helps you position your hands ahead of the ball to give a really true roll and the grooves really grip the ball and giving an outstanding bump-free roll even on winter greens. You can feel a a big difference in the weight of the putter head thanks to the adjustable weights but the compromise is the looks - they are very bold bright blue and positioned on the sides of the putter head which are a bit distracting. A blue aim line down the centre would have helped balance things out."
