Taylormade’s M4 assures a step up from traditional driver design and new Twist Face technology. Here is what Carly Frost thought when she put it through its paces.

The M4 is a radical departure from traditional driver face design, it has a Twist Face curvature engineered to correct off-centre hits by reducing sidespin, taking you farther and straighter, right down the centre of the fairway. In addition, our new Hammerhead slot creates a massive sweet spot that pushes the limit of ball speed to produce distance and forgiveness across the entire face.
I SAY
An awesome driver that instantly made an impression on me thanks to its explosive impact sound. The performance was hard to fault. The power was amazing, the ball carried 10 yards further in flight than my current driver before run out and my mishits were noticeably less destructive. The simple alignment mark in the centre of the crown helps you aim and centre the ball. There’s nothing particularly feminine about the design (unlike the
prettier Kalea range) but you can’t fail to love the playability.
