YONEX EZONE GS
Fairway Wood
Price: £249

I’m a creature of habit so when I placed the Yonex Ezone GS fairway 3-wood behind my ball for the first time it just didn’t feel right. But habits were soon forgotten, as my ball launched into the air and gave me some much-needed distance to my fairway shots.

It’s a stylish looking club with a black graphite shaft and matt black steel head, highlighted with some deep pink markings. Whilst I kept the clubhead in a neutral position, it’s easy to adjust for your ideal loft. The unusual slanted grooves help prevent grass and moisture coming between the clubhead and the ball, and this in turn helps to stabilise the shot.

This lightweight and forgiving club helped me hit straighter and more consistent shots and will certainly become a regular addition in my golf bag. A new habit!
