Making sure you have a driver which suits your game is important for scoring well. Single-figure handicapper Carly Frost put the Callaway Great Big Bertha Epic to the test.

My favourite driver on test. The Epic out-drove many of the other drivers by as much as 10 yards with a like-for-like swing speed. If you’re after extra length then you’ll definitely be impressed. It fired the ball really fast off the face at my slightly faster than average swing speed so it will suit the stronger lady player. If I had to pick fault it would be the shiny black clubhead as it reflects a lot of light. As the most expensive driver on test, I’m not sure it out-classes its counterparts enough to justify the hefty price-tag.

Price: £469
