The King Cobra F7 Hybrid is one of the most exciting new clubs on the market. Lois Nicholson, a 28-handicap from Fleet, Hants put it to the test.

This is a really attractive-looking 3-4 hybrid - grey and silver shaft and head with a slight touch of pink and a smart white head cover. It has quite a flexible shaft and came set with a 20.5 degree loft, adjustable between 19 and 22 degrees. The F7’s looks certainly translated into performance. It was a dream to use, working well off the fairway, tee and even from nasty rough!

Only one minor negative point - the grooves on the bottom made the club difficult to clean on a muddy winter’s day. In summary, a nice club which will suit players who are not so comfortable using woods, as it will give confidence and extra length on shots down the fairway.
