The putter is the most personal club in the bag and it's also the most important. Many golfers are reluctant to change but Women & Golf reader, 17 handicapper Jane Saggers from Lincolnshire, is tempted after testing PING's G Le2 Echo putter. Here is her review:
Even with new technology I was going to take some convincing that this putter, with an easily adjustable length shaft, would perform equally as well or better than my trusty PING Anser. My first concern was the comparable heavier weight of the Echo and how large (and pink) the putter head looked on the green. How wrong first impressions can be! The extra weight evolved into better balance in my stroke and made a pendulum action more stable and easier to control. Results spoke for themselves with that glorious sound of the ball dropping into the hole! I practised numerous drills over different distances. I liked the shot, the roll and sound of the ball off the face. I had to admit: quite unexpectedly, I had fallen hopelessly in love!
