Golf’s Japanese mega-brand Honma is rarely seen on these shores, but on Friday 19 December golfers in the Midlands and South East have the chance to attend a special Honma VIP Day.

Golf’s Japanese mega-brand Honma is rarely seen on these shores, but it is wildly popular in the Far East and regularly tops ‘Most Wanted’ lists for golfers worldwide.

This month, golfers in the Midlands and South East have the chance to tick one off the bucket list, with premium indoor golfing venue iPlayGolf eynes hosting a special Honma VIP Day in Milton Keynes on Friday December 19th 2014.

The brand’s top European custom-fitter, Mathieu Humel, is flying in from Paris to give local golfers a sneak preview of Honma’s new Tour World 727 clubs – which will not officially go on sale in the UK until March 2015.

With prices for a set of high-performance Honma clubs ranging from £1,275 up to over £50,000, iPlayGolf is inviting golfers who enjoy life’s luxury items to come and try the new Honmas.

Celebrities such movie star Jack Nicholson and tycoon Donald Trump are among Honma customers, but the vast majority who invest in a set of the Japanese clubs are ordinary golfers seeking the absolute last word in custom-fitted, hand-built golf equipment. All Honma clubs are built to order by craftsmen in the company’s facility in Northern Japan, and the firm – which celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2013 – is proud to combine traditional club-making skills with ultra-modern materials and the latest manufacturing techniques.

Fitting appointments for the VIP Day are filling fast, and there will also be an opportunity to meet members of the golfing press, plus one or two special guests who are also set to appear.
