Cobra Golf is bringing out two new putter families under the KING umbrella. Bringing innovative technology and 3D printing to the fore

Today Cobra have announced their official entry into the putter market with the KING 3D Printed Series, the first complete line of 3D Printed multi-material putters and the new KING Vintage Series family of putters.

KING 3D Printed Series

The KING 3D putters feature a 3D printed nylon lattice cartridge created using HP’s advanced Multi-Jet fusion printing technology. The 3D printed lattice structure optimizes the weight distribution within the putter chassis to deliver a high MOI design for enhanced stability and roll performance in three distinct models – The GrandSport-35 (OS Blade), SuperNova (OS Fang), and the Agera (OS Mallet).

Jose, VP Marketing & Product Architecture, Cobra Golf said:

“We are extremely excited for golfers to try our new 3D printed putters, while each is unique, they all deliver advanced stability, forgiveness and roll performance that will make putting easier for golfers of all levels.”

KING GrandSport-35

The KING GrandSport-35 features an oversize blade shape and boasts an MOI comparable to other OS mallets on the market. A plumber neck design creates a 35-degree toe hang that is ideal for players with a slight arc to their putting stroke. A multi-material construction features a 268g steel chassis, 21g forged aluminium crown, and an intricate 3D printed nylon lattice cartridge. Nylon is roughly half the weight of aluminium and enables weight to be removed from the centre of the clubhead and repositioned to the heel and toe areas for increased MOI and forgiveness. RRP £269.

KING SuperNova

The KING SuperNova features an oversize fang design with a MOI over 5700 for extreme stability on off-centre hits. The incredible stability is achieved using a 3D Printed multi-material construction with two 3D printed nylon lattice cartridges, a 291g steel chassis, 18g forged aluminium crown, and 42g of combined tungsten on the perimeter extremities. RRP £269.

KING Agera

The KING Agera features an oversize mallet shape and an MOI over 7600, making it one of the most stable putters on the market today.  The design features a 3D printed nylon cartridge, 261g steel chassis, 27g forged aluminium crown, and extreme tungsten weighting. RRP £269.

KING Vintage Series

The KING Vintage Series family includes four unique shapes: a blade (Sport-45 & Sport-60), fang (Nova & Nova-40) and an oversize mallet (Stingray & Stingray-40) with model names that are inspired by classic sports cars.

The putters feature a steel chassis, simple sightlines for alignment, and a black and turbo yellow color scheme. With multiple shapes, hosels, and an adjustable weighting system, the Vintage family has a variety of options for any style of putting stroke.

KING Vintage Sport-45

The KING Vintage Sport-45 features a traditional blade shape with a plumber neck hosel. A 45-degree toe hang is designed for players with a slight arc that desire a blend of stability and control. The construction consists of a 304 stainless steel chassis with single sightline for improved alignment.

The second offering in the “Sport” blade shape is the KING Vintage Sport-60.  The putter features a flow neck hosel design that creates a 60-degree toe hang that is suitable for players who have a stronger arc putting stroke. RRP £199.

KING Vintage Nova

The KING Vintage Nova features the popular fang shape for enhanced stability and improved alignment and a single bend hosel for a face-balanced design suitable for players with a straight-back, straight-through stroke.

The second offering in the “Nova” fang shape is the KING Vintage Nova-40.  The putter features a short slant hosel design that creates a 40-degree toe hang that is suitable for players who have a slight arc to their putting stroke. RRP £249.

KING Vintage Stingray

The KING Vintage Stingray is an oversize mallet putter which utilises a multi-material construction featuring a 304 stainless steel chassis on the perimeter and a unique plastic/carbon-fiber housing system that allows for a single adjustable weight. The result is the highest MOI shape in the Vintage family. The model is designed with a single bend hosel to create a face balanced design that is suited for players with a straight-back, straight-through stroke seeking maximum forgiveness and stability.

The second offering in the “Stingray” mallet shape is the KING Vintage Stingray-40.  The putter features a short slant hosel design that creates a 40-degree toe hang that is suited for players who have a slight arc to their putting stroke. RRP £199.

Putter features across all designs

COBRA partnered with SIK Golf to employ their patented Descending Loft Technology (DLT), which features four descending lofts (4°, 3°, 2°, 1°) on the face to produce a consistent launch angle and roll for different putting styles and stroke consistencies. All putters from both series have this aluminium insert. An aluminium insert creates significant weight savings over a solid steel face while simultaneously providing excellent feel with ample feedback.

All designs are available in right and left-hand in 34” and 35” lengths, with other lengths available via custom fitting.

They also all have a lightweight polyurethane Lamkin Sinkfit CONNECT Grip with an embedded sensor that pairs with the Arccos Caddie app, which utilizes Artificial Intelligence to make better on-course decisions for lower scores.

Did you know that golfers who use Arccos Caddie typically improve, on average, 3.6 strokes on their handicap in the first year?

All putters will be available from June 4th, 2021. For more information on KING 3D Printed and KING Vintage putters visit: www.cobragolf.co.uk
